El Pescador Fish Market

Message: Being at El Pescador is like being in a seafood lovers dream! We ordered a grilled snapper sandwich for the kids, some chowder, and a bay shrimp crab salad. Everything is delicious and fresh. They also have a great selection beer. Their seafood case is stocked with beautiful local seafood. If you’re lucky enough to be in La Jolla CA make sure to visit this jewel!

Message: Great spot with fresh food! Was crowded on a Monday afternoon, but we were still able to find open tables. Lots of Gluten free options. The cashier was super friendly and overall a great experience.

Message: The sandwiches and burritos here could make your stomach stay full for the whole day. Remember to visit during weekdays so you can actually sit down and enjoy the food when there aren't lots of customers around.

Message: Great place! Be prepared you pick your food pay sit down! So not a typical restaurant style sit down! Food was amazing prices are high for a little piece of fish! you are right there by the ocean too! So Halibut was the bomb though.

Message: Delicious food oh my gosh. A bit on the pricy side was far as meals go, but very very tasty. The tortilla chips come with literally the best pico de gallo I’ve ever had, highly highly recommend the tortilla chips. Also the clam chowder was fantastic.

Message: Fish market doubles a seafood restaurant. This is where you can find fair-priced and fresh seafood dishes. Although, you won’t find any sophisticated seafood dishes here but grilled seafood is still amazing. I love to appreciate fresh seafood with minimal cooking done to them anyway and this place delivers great grilled seafood. Definitely a must try if you are in Mission Beach area.

Message: An absolute delicious meal! So fresh and so flavorful. There is an incredible variety of choices to pick from. The El Pescador salad that featured smoked salmon, crab and shrimp was pretty amazing! And the other classic meal we tried was the sea bass with rice and veggies, the fish was cooked to perfection!

Message: We stopped by this place, right after we finished kayaking near the secret cave in La Jolla. We were hungry and craving fresh seafood! Service was good and fast, which was a big plus. We opted for half a dozen oysters, a local grilled sea bass plate (w/ brown rice & veggies) and a large cioppino to share. I loved their oysters and grilled sea bass. Sweet petite from the East coast were mild, briny, and not too meaty. The King tide from the west coast had a clean, crisp finish, and a plump springy texture. Both had clean after tastes, yum! The grilled local sea bass was fresh and had a delicate mild sweet flavor, they really grilled it to perfection. Unfortunately the cioppino was only decent, not only that but the large portion was quite small. Also, the amount of the seafood in it was too basic.. I like that although it is a traditional fish market, it doesn't smell fishy at all. They also have a nice outdoor patio for you to enjoy the wine, SD breeze, and sunshine. Will be back for more oysters :).
